Jeremy back in the hospital

Hello everyone it's Ginger.

Jeremy has been in the hospital since Wednesday evening. I tried making an appointment at the clinic for him on Wednesday and they told me that I should take him to the ER instead. So when he got to the ER, they did the normal blood work and found that his potassium is low and that his pt/inr is way too high.  For the pt/inr his warfarin is being held for three days. For the potassium he's on an iv and getting oral pills. The potassium number only went up .2 pts (from 2.6 to 2.8) the first 18 hours at the hospital so they're keeping longer. In the morning they're going to run a different test and see what else can be done. Maybe a med change will help.

Anyway ... Beside Jeremy's health the only other thing that's new here (and it's not ALL that new, it is January after all) is the weather. We've had between single digits below zero to single digits above zero with wind chills in the -20+ degree range for a week now. Looks like more of the same for the next week or so. Schools have been cancelled most of the week. At one point one of the schools was open, but that was only for the day.  We've been trying to keep the house warm, but it's an old house. We're happy when the temperature in the living room reaches 68.

Hope everyone is warm and staying healthy!
