Hey there! It's Ginger.  Not much new here. Summer is under way. We've been doing pretty fortunate to have mild weather so far this summer. Only five really bad hot humid days. Of course the a/c upstairs in the bedroom decided that it had breathed it's last a day before the weather hit.  As usual money is tight and there's nothing extra to go out and buy a a/c unit. We did have enough money to go out and buy three more box fans, which has helped more that I thought they would.  We've been careful to make sure we get the house as cooled off as possible at night making it a little more bearable during the day.

Jeremy got an older computer from a person here in town and has the weather station up and running. I'm enjoying the benefits of the computer too. It's nice having a computer that I can use and not have to ask Jeremy if he's in the middle of something and if I can use the lap top for a few minutes.

I've been trying to get a bunch of school color hats crocheted to sell this fall/winter at craft sales and on the local facebook page. I figured that since I'm going to crochet anyway, I may as well do something that will at least pay for the yarn. I've also started a patchwork afghan to enter into the county fair next year. About a month ago I saw the flyer for this years fair and wished I had something to enter. If I had been thinking about it, I wouldn't have used the king size circle afghan I made last winter and I could have entered that. Anyway, so I have a jump start on next years. I think I'm going to need all that time because the squares that I'm making are only about 3 inches square. It's going to be a bear to sew them all together.  I've been toying with ideas for a patter. Thinking about maybe an 'Around the World' or something that's similar. I'm a member of a bunch of crochet pages on facebook and have seen some very pretty afghans that are giving me some good ideas. Right now I'm just using up the random colors that I have. Shouldn't have to buy much for the afghan.

Jeremy's health has been pretty good lately. He was having trouble with dizziness about a week or so ago.  We're thinking that it might be allergy related because last summer about this time he had trouble too.  Nothing else has changed, his meds or diet.

My diverticulitis has been bothering me off and on the last few months again.  I've been doing okay otherwise.  I'm still working midnights and have come to the realization that because of my back that this is the only shift I'll ever be able to work as a CENA as Long Term.
