The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... 

eastern Ontonagon County in western Upper Michigan... 

* until 100 PM EDT

* at 1211 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a

severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail... and

damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located 7 miles

west of Bruce Crossing... or 20 miles south of Ontonagon... and

moving northeast at 35 mph.

* Locations impacted include... 

Ontonagon... Rockland... Mass City... Norwich... Greenland and Fourteen

Mile Point.

Precautionary/preparedness actions... 

Severe thunderstorms produce damaging wind in excess of 60 miles per

hour... destructive hail... deadly lightning... and very heavy rain. For

your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of your

home or business. Heavy rains flood roads quickly so do not drive

into areas where water covers the Road.
