Life has begun again. Nascar Preseason Thunder is underway. We've got about a month until the Daytona 500. The speeds are up. Over 196 for a single car run and up over 206 in a two car tandem. Nascar is trying all kinds of new things to stop the two car tandem. I personally hate the tandem and most people I've talked to do like it either. Nascar has the teams testing with a smaller spoiler on the rear of the car which is 3.5 inches instead of the 5 inches from last year. The rear spoiler has been set to 70 degrees. The shark fin has been enlarged to 5.5 inches instead of 3.5 inches from last year. The radiator holds 2 gallons and has .5 gallon over flow. The restrictor plate has been enlarged. The cars have about 100 hp more than last year. The engine alone has increased 24 hp and the rest is from aero. I think this 500 is going to be the most exciting 500 in my lifetime.
