Lake Effect Snow Watch

... Lake effect snow watch remains in effect from late tonight
through late Friday night...

Hazardous weather...

* lake effect snow is expected to intensify late tonight and
   continue over west wind favored snowbelts through Friday night.

* Moderate to heavy snowfall is possible. Total snowfall
   accumulations may exceed a foot over higher terrain from Ontonagon
   to Twin Lakes and north to Calumet.

Impacts...

* roads may become snow covered and slippery.

* Gusty winds Thursday into Thursday night may cause blowing and
   drifting snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* a lake effect snow watch means there is a potential for a
   large amount of snow in only a few hours.
