We're going to pick up a propane heater tomorrow when Pamida opens up. We've got lake effect snow coming tonight and all day tomorrow and the wind is going to be kicking up to 45 - 50 mph. Hunting season has opened up here. I've got a few friends that have already got their deer. I couldn't shoot an animal. I would loose my mind. I do enjoy target shooting. Back home I competed with my buddies Kenny and Tim in competitive air rifle shooting. I like shooting a smaller load with all the accuracy as a bigger caliber round. I've got a Crosman Phantom break barrel .177 rifle. It fires the .177 round at 1000-1200 fps. It's a nice gun but I haven't had much of a chance to put rounds down range. I'm going to build a pellet trap that's full of bags and clothing so I don't have to worry about sending a round through the back door of the garage. I've been looking at other rifles and am thinking about getting another one next spring. I've got to stock up armor piercing, hollow point and polymer tipped rounds. Thankfully Air rifles and pellets aren't very expensive but are just as competitive as other shooting competitions. Actually let me say this The rifles can get as expensive as a normal rifle or pistol but they are not in my price range. I may never own a top notch gun but I will have as much fun as I can no matter what I shoot. I also like the fact I can practice in my garage instead of going out to a field. I just have to make a few modification to the back of my garage and my shooting stand. I'm going to work on it tomorrow after we get home from our errands.
