Lake Effect Snow Advisory
... Lake effect Snow Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM EST
Thursday...

Hazardous weather...

* snow accumulations overnight through Thursday afternoon will range
   from 3 to 10 inches. The greatest snow accumulations should occur
   across the higher terrain from around Rockland to Painesdale. The
   lightest accumulations will occur close to Lake Superior at
   locations such as Ontonagon and Freda.

* Expect moderate to heavy lake effect snow showers overnight into
   Thursday morning. As winds shift to the southwest on Thursday
   afternoon... the snow showers will diminish.

* Gusty winds of 20 to 30 mph will create blowing snow at times.

Impacts...

* the snow will make for slick roadways... making driving
   difficult at times.

* Visibilities may be reduced briefly to one-quarter mile or
   less in the heaviest snow showers.
