I'm sitting here watching the Restoring Courage event. I had no idea how much crap Israel has gone through. It's really amazing. I'll stand with Israel.

Ginger and I went to see the damage from last Friday's tornado. There were a lot of trees uprooted and snapped off. There was even a tree on a camper at the RV park. It's scary to see and learn just how close it came to the house. There was damage just a quarter mile from us. It was incredible. Pictures just don't do it justice.

Hurricane Irene is coming up the coast and may very well hit New England. Irene is a big storm and I'm happy I'm not there.

Not much is really going on here. It's been humid but this morning a front went through and the humidity went away. We bought a police scanner this week so we have a little more notice of bad weather. I programmed a few ham radio repeaters but it's usually pretty quiet. I haven't heard anything from the sheriff dept or the fire dept. This area is pretty much devoid of scanner traffic.
