Special Statement

... Dangerous heat and humidity possible for Sunday into Monday...

A very hot and humid airmass is expected to dominate west and
central Upper Michigan Sunday into Monday. During this time... high
temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 90s over western Upper
Michigan... and in the upper 80s to lower 90s across central Upper
Michigan. Combined with dew points in the lower 70s... heat index
values will range from 95 to 105 degrees each afternoon. The highest
temperatures and heat index readings will be over the western half
of Upper Michigan. With low temperatures on Sunday night not
forecast to fall below 75 in some areas... there may be an increased
risk of heat related illness.

There will be a brief cool down Tuesday as a weak cold front moves
through bringing slightly cooler and less humid conditions... but the
heat and humidity will make a return again for Wednesday.

Listen to NOAA Weather Radio or your local media for later
updates on this situation.

This weekend into next week is going to suck from the heat. I've got an appointment to see the neurologist and Ginger has to see the eye doctor on Monday. Thank Goodness we have ac in the truck.

What a marvelous USA game today. They won and will play in the finals on Sunday. I'm hoping they play against Japan for the Championship. USA has beat them 3 times this year in friendlies.

Tonight at 8 New England Revolution have a match against Manchester United. That's going to be a fantastic match. I'm a big fan of both teams but since the Revolution are the home team I'm going with NE.
