... Flash Flood Watch in effect through Wednesday morning...
The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Upper Michigan and
western Upper Michigan... including the following areas... in
central Upper Michigan... Dickinson... Iron and Menominee. In
western Upper Michigan... Gogebic... Ontonagon and southern
Houghton.
* Through Wednesday morning
* the combination of saturated soils and expected heavy rain
showers that are likely to pass over the same areas may cause
some flooding.
* Flooding is most likely in low lying areas... along streams where
the slope is steep... in urban areas... and at locations that have
picked up heavy rain recently.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
