I called Community Action today to gather info about the people who would do the work and they told me that they can't give out that kind of info and that I should trust them that the people who do the work know what they are doing. I couldn't get names, what kind of licenses the "crew" have, who they have done jobs for. I would just have to trust them to do the job and do it right. I told them not to bother coming. If I can't check out these people I don't want them in my home. I followed Mike Holmes's advice. I tried to check these people out and get all the info I needed and they fought me and gave me a run around. The work they would have done is supposedly free but it is still my home and I want to know who is in my home and know what kind of work they are qualified to do.
