Oh boy... Ginger just left for work. She's been out for the last 6 weeks taking care of my dumb ass. Neither one of us wanted her to go back but thems is the breaks. We're just thankful she still has a job.
I'm watching Monday Night Football. NO is whooping up on NE. The Pats look like a high school team. It's embarrassing.
I'm still working on getting my Virtual Private Pilots License on Microsoft's Flight Sim Century of Flight. No the license isn't real there isn't much you can do with it in the real world, but haveing it will let you join some flight simming sites and give you special privileges. For me it's the challenge. I would also like to recreate my friend Henry's flight from NJ to CA. You can read about it in the book Flight of the Gin Fizz. Henry is a deaf pilot and he named his Cessna 150 Gin Fizz in honor of another deaf pilot from back in the 1910's who originally made the flight and who was the first deaf man to fly coast to coast. No I'm not deaf but the adventure sounds like fun. I've still got a long way to go until I'm ready to make my attempt.
When I'm not flight simming or online racing I've been using a program called Hamsphere. Hamsphere is ham radio online. No you're not transmitting real signals and no you're not really on the frequencies of real ham radio. It's simulated. You get all the crackles and hiss and skip from actual users from all over the world. This morning I made 5 contacts from all over the world. From Hobart, Tasmania to East Texas. If you didn't know this was simulated you'd never even guess. Your contacts fade and come back in some stay in the mud. It's really great. www.hamsphere.com Click the link and check it out.
