Ok well I got Dad to respond saying he reads this blog. That's encouraging. Now who else reads this thing?

I got the results to a diabetes blood test today. It's called a1c and basically all it is is the average reading of your blood sugar over the last 3 months. For someone with type 2 diabetes your a1c should be below 7. Mine is at 7.1. I'm very proud of myself. That is the lowest a1c I've ever had.

I have an appointment with my Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)tomorrow at 3. We're going to discuss what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong. We're also going to start using each other for a kinda support group since she was just diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Winnie (my CDE) and I are close together in age and it will be nice to talk to someone who doesn't have blue hair. I've finally got a spark of interest in Diabetes.
