I hate Vonage. I still can't get it going. I had to sign up for their softphone so we could make calls. So now we have another phone number. people can call our old number and we will get the messages but we have to use the softphone to call out and check our messages. I think we are going to go back to the land line phone.

The leaves are really beautiful this year. Most of the trees still have all their leaves and they are a bright yellow. Everything looks bright even when it's cloudy. I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them in the blog. I want to remember how beautiful things are this winter when we have 20 feet of snow blocking the windows and I can't see outside.

I found a new radio type software. It is called Hamsphere and it simulates 40 and 80 meter ham radio. I've made contacts from the UK, Austrailia, the Neatherlands and a whole bunch of other countries. I admit it's not real radio and it does not transmit any rf but it's a great simulation. The signals fade and static crashes and the "radio" signals follow the ioniphere and signals skip like real radio. I'm really having a good time using it. Tonight we have a Net meeting on the 40 meter band at frequency 7.070 at 10 PM Eastern. I havn't been able to make the net for the last 2 weeks. Oh damn it's Tuesday. Damn I missed the net again. the net runs on Monday nights. Oh well I'll get it next week.
