Ginger finally decided where she wants her computer that I built for her. It's in the living room with mine. I decided to load her computer with something other than Windows. I loaded her computer with Ubuntu Linux 8.4. She'll do just fine with Linux even though she's never used it before. All Ginger does is surf the net and work on the family tree stuff for her family and play a few games on FaceBook. I've got Windows XP Corp and Kubuntu Linux on this computer each running on a different hard drive. I have to run both operating systems because some of the things I do like FlightSim and Dirt track racing and Nascar SimRacing online run on windows, but most everything else I use Linux. Ginger is so happy she has her own computer again. I've got a third computer just sitting around that I think I'm going to use for ham radio. It's a 1 Gig system with 192 Megs of ram and should run great with a linux operating system. I'm seriously trying to get away from Microcrap and Winblows.
