It was a nice day today. We didn't see much sun but it did hit about 50. I started cleaning up the front yard. What a mess. Over the next few days I'll have it done. The front yard isn't all that big but standing and moving around is a challenge for me. Gingers next day off I'll have her help me bag all the poo and put it next to the road for spring cleanup. We will also get to do a few dump runs which will be good. We have so much trash in the garage it isn't even funny. Thankfully it's almost all paper so it doesn't stink. I'd like to get a wood stove for out back so I could burn all the paper but the town outlawed them a couple years ago. Down the street the residents put in a wood burner for heat and hot water and their neighbors complained the smoke was coming into their homes. Total BS if you ask me. All anyone does around here is bitch about their neighbors. This summer I have a project. We have a 70 year old wire fence along the western edge of the property that needs to be gotten rid of. Years ago whoever owned this place decided to use wooden snow fence to make the wire fence more substantial. Well the wood has rotted and all broken up and looks like crap. The fence is so old the grass over the years has weaved itself around the bottom and makes it impossible to just pull up. I'm going to have to use the bolt cutters to get rid of it. By code you can't put up a solid fence so I'm thinking about getting bushes that will grow 8 to 10 feet tall and have foliage from the ground all the way up. I'm not sure what we'll get but I'm looking.
