The wind has started blowing. Looks like it's going to be a long storm. Oh now the snow is starting to fall. I'm glad we don't have to go out in this. I went to my dietitian appointment and got some groceries so we should be good. I'm going to make ravioli tonight. The steam should help keep the house warm. My hands, hips, shoulders and legs are killing me. It's like one big tooth ache with this fibro and arthritis. Thankfully I don't need my cane or walker yet today. It depresses the heck out of me when I have to use them. I feel like my mother and then I start thinking about me dieing and leaving Ginger to cope with life alone. I'm starting the Overeaters Anonymous HOW plan. My Dietitian has recommended it to me so I'll give it a shot. I'm rather embarrassed by what I'm doing to myself but the only one that can change me is me. I can't even think about Bariatric Surgery until I can control my eating. I've got to make me a priority and start taking better care of myself so I can beat this and start to have a normal life. I want everything back. Not just a few things like being able to walk to the mail box. I want my life back. I want to do anything I want at any time. I want to dance with Ginger, play fetch with the girls, swim in the lake, ride my bike even mow the lawn. I want it all back. I'm tired of this shell of a life I have been living in. From this point on I will start posting my blood sugars, what I eat and what I've done for exercise for the day. I need to be accountable to someone not just myself so I'll be accountable to everyone who reads this blog.

OK my blood sugar at 3 pm is 364. Damn that's high. Way too high. I need some insulin.
I'll shoot 100 units of Humalog, 100 units of Lantus and 10 units of Byetta. Yes I know I'll crash but I can control the crash with a few carbs but I'll get down to normal sooner so I can start clean.

Humlog is a fast acting insulin used before a meal to keep the blood sugar near normal
Lantus is a long lasting insulin taken in the morning and at night for over all control of blood sugars.
Byetta is a blood sugar maintenance drug to help slow digestion so blood sugar doesn't go up so fast.
